Summer clothes for short men: shorts, short sleeves and linen
In summer, short men look best in shorts that end at or above the knee, short sleeves that end above the elbow, and tops that end at the hip. Light colours work best kept close top to bottom, and linen trousers should be cropped above the ankle or have no break.
Shorts
Shorts should end at or above the knee. Shorts graded for taller men often reach below it on a shorter leg and read as cut-off trousers. Check the outside leg on the size chart: it is the measurement that decides where the hem lands.
Short sleeves and summer shirts
A short sleeve should end above the elbow; on shorter arms, an oversized tee or camp-collar shirt can reach the elbow. Camp-collar and linen shirts are usually worn untucked, so the body length matters more: aim for the hem to land around mid-fly.
Summer trousers
Linen and lightweight cotton trousers wrinkle and pool more than denim when they are long. Choose a 7/8 length that ends above the ankle, or a full length with no break.
Colour in summer
Light, close tones, such as cream with stone or white with light grey, keep a long line in summer just as dark tones do in winter.

Can short men wear linen trousers?
